This Chinese-themed restaurant and craft beer bar opened at the end of June 2018, atop the Cloud Hostel off Soi Sala Daeng, which has been around a bit longer. The owner of the bar, Khun Bamee, has business connections to both Group B Bar and to Nectar Beer .
To reach this bar, travel to either Sala Daeng BTS Station (Exit via Exit 4 – at street level, double-back 180 degrees to your left), or to Silom MRT Station (use Exit 2, then get to street level). In either case, proceed to street level and walk less than 100 meters along the south side of Silom Road to Soi Sala Daeng, and turn into that soi. Walk to the southeast along that road for 400 meters, until you come to Saladaeng Soi 1/1. Turn left into this soi – which is quite narrow – and proceed about 150 meters ahead, passing the long-established Aubergine restaurant on your left:
You will then come to the very attractive entrance-way into the Cloud Hostel compound:
Enter through the gateway and climb up the white steps:
Then turn to your right, and you will see a wooden staircase. You must climb to the 4th Floor, which opens out into the bar’s seating area:
Off to your left front is the main bar, with six craft beer taps, and a beer menu board behind the bar:
Off to the right of the taps is a beer cooler, holding maybe 50 different bottled and canned craft beers:
Off top the far left rear corner (as you face the bar) is the “curtained” entrance to the toilet area:
There are actually separate toilets for men and women – clean and well-maintained.
Seating along the bar can accommodate seven visitors. Seating in the main dining area includes one eight-person table, six tables that seat 4 to 6 persons, and seven tables that seat 2 or 3 persons. The main seating is indoors, but tables can also be moved to an uncovered, open air rooftop section with green synthetic grass:
There is free wifi. They do offer live music from time to time. They have a full kitchen, serving both Thai and western dishes. Smoking is permitted only in the outdoor section.
Sala Daeng Soi 1/1 is too narrow to permit parking along the street. According to this sketch map, there is parking nearby, across the street:
