26 Soi Sukhumvit 89 Bangkok, Thailand

Newly opened in February 2018, this bar is located in a former residential home on Sukhumvit Soi 89, and is operated by the team behind Thai craft beer brand Ladybraü.  To get to this bar, travel to On Nut BTS Station, and exit the station using Exit 4.  This exit will deliver you to a pedestrian bridge that crosses Sukhumvit Road.  Once you are on this overpass, bear left, and then descend to street level.  Upon reaching street level, walk straight ahead for 500 meters to Sukhumvit Soi 89, and then turn left into the soi.  About 80 meters into the soi, you will reach the bar, which will be on your right.  A view from the street:

As you approach the sliding glass entrance door, you will see:

This venue has four seating areas.  Four seats at the bar, a rear area with two low tables that each seat two persons, a front seating area with four small tables, each seating two to four persons, and exterior seating on both sides of the entrance, with a total of three tables, each seating two to four persons.

The toilet is behind the right side of the bar, as you face it – through the curtain directly behind the yellow support column in the photo above.   The toilet is spacious and well-maintained.

Here is a close-up look at the beer cooler:

At present, they stock only And Union, Ladybraü, and Bridge Road brand beers – with the last two in both bottles, and on tap.  The do have plans to expand their offerings in the near future.

This bar promotes beer cocktails – beer mixed with carbonated beverages – basically, a shandy.

They do have a kitchen, and they serve a limited menu.   Here are their two current menu sheets:

There is no video screen at this bar.  The music is rock and pop from the 70’s through the 90’s, played at comfortable level.

Smoking is permitted only in the outdoor seating area.

There is ample parking in a lot that is locate just past the bar, on the same side of the street.

At the time of visit, the two partners tending bar were both Germans:  Roman, and Eric – both of whom are involved with development and marketing of the Ladybraü beer brand  which is brewed in Cambodia.

This bar has been open for less than two weeks, so its customer base is just getting established.   Locally, they have been having Thai employees from businesses farther down Soi 89 stop by.  Most non-local visitors have been westerners.
