Newly opened in November 2018, this venue is the sister bar to Craftpital at W District – see Craftpital.
This bar is located in a shop-house that opens right onto the Sukhumvit sidewalk, very close to the corner of Sukhumvit Road, and Sukhumvit Soi 44/2. To reach this bar, travel to Prakhanong BTS Station, and descend to street level using Exit 2. Upon reaching the street, walk straight ahead for 200 meters, and the bar will be on your left. It is located just past a business that has a huge sign above the entrance reading “CRAFT” – but this is a handicrafts and cafe business. Here are photos of Hoppy Hrs:

View from rear of bar, looking toward the entrance:
A view along the bar: (Bangkok Beer Guru is second from the right):
The bar has craft beer on six taps, with the draft offerings displayed on a pair of chalk boards located above the tap area.
There is also a double-wide beer cooler containing about 50 different craft beers in bottles and cans.
There are five stools at the bar, two sets of tables that can seat four persons each, one table for two, and a big overstuffed couch/sofa against one wall that can probably seat four small persons, if they “get cozy.”
The bar is owned by a Thai couple who go by “Minnie” and “Mickey” – as in the Disney characters – and there is a small display enclosure at the far left end of the bar as you face it , showing those characters:
In the flesh, Mickey is on the left, below, and Minnie is on the right:
This bar also serves food – specifically, “dressed” gourmet hot dogs. Here’s a menu:
And here is a photo of a “Stray Dog” – all dogs are accompanied by french fries, and run between 240 and 280 baht:
In its early days, the bar has no video screen. On opening night, early on, they were playing VERY old American folk and country and western songs – I’m talking Marty Robbins, Roger Miller, and Tennessee Ernie Ford!! Also some Kenny Rogers, some Johnny Cash, and some Andrews Sisters. Later in the evening, they had a DJ come in and play some more modern international pop songs:
The bar features two large American flags – recognizing co-owner “Minnie’s” time as a student at Depauw University in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
There is modern, bright, and very clean toilet at the far rear of the bar, with one urinal and one sit-down toilet. The toilet is located just to the right of the hand-washing station in the photo below:
Parking is available on the adjacent Soi 44/2.
