Small bar on ground floor of shop house immediately in front of Exit 3 of Petchaburi MRT Station. Did I say “immediately”? See this photo – that is the street-level entrance/exit from MRT at Exit 3 at lower right, with Changwon Express less than ten meters ahead.
Bar entrance is off to your left, past the chain link fence, with entrance facing the sidewalk/footpath.
This is a small, cozy bar. Decoration is whimsical and lighthearted. Sitting at the bar, you are overlooking the kitchen, from one meter away.
A very friendly bar, this watering hole is managed by Korean owner and entrepreneur Ted Anh, who can normally be found presiding over the draft beer taps.
Ted normally has nine draft beers on tap – a mixture of imported Thai expatriate beers, artisanal Thai beers, and foreign imported craft beers. Sometimes, one tap is given over to a cider. They sometimes have on tap their imported house IPA -Asoke IPA – brewed in Korea.
They also have one cooler, with a selection of maybe 20 bottled craft beers – mostly imports, with a handful of Thai artisanal or imported Thai expatriate beers.
In a pinch, nine patrons can be seated at the bar, and another twenty four customers can be seated at the six tables. Comfortable crowd size is probably about twenty customers, total.
This bar normally does not serve free snacks. There is a kitchen right behind the bar, serving a limited menu – nachos and other Mexican dishes, some Korean dishes, and some hot dogs.
There are toilets in an adjacent part of the building, accessible through a hallway at the rear of the bar. Nothing fancy, but serviceable.
No parking here. But – this bar is literally stumbling distance from the Petchaburi MRT station- so there is really no need to drive. If you insist on driving, then the Airport Rail Link Makkasan station is nearby, and that facility has parking available within 300 meters of Changwon Express.
