This upscale bar in located overlooking the main lobby of the Indigo Hotel on Wireless Road, 350 meters south of Ploenchit Road.
From Ploenchit BTS, take Exit 5, along the skywalk, perhaps 100 meters
until you come to where it intersects with a pedestrian bridge at Wireless Road:
Turn left onto that overpass walkway. and walk straight ahead, and then straight down the stairs in the same direction that you been walking (where lady with the hat is walking , in the photo below)
Once you reach street level, continue straight ahead for 350 meters, passing the Plaza Athenee Hotel,, and then the Vietnamese Embassy. When you reach the Verasu Building, slow down – the Indigo Hotel is just a few steps past that building:
Turn left, and enter the hotel. The photo below is taken from the hotel entrance. Check-in desk is at left. 22 Steps Craft House is visible on the second floor. It is accessed via a stairway in the passageway at the right side of the photo.
The bar’s name refers to the 21 steps on the stairway – followed by one last step – into the bar.
This bar is upscale, with a wood-paneled library theme:
The bar up close: They have only three draft beers on tap – at the time of my visit, they were: Brewdog Dead Pony Club. Maisel’s Weisse, and Coronado Orange Wit:
They do have a large cooler full of bottled craft beers, back near the entrance stairway:
They have a menu of the beers available:
Each customer gets a small jar full of mixed nuts:
In the main (front) room, there is a large table that seats ten, plus four small tables, with two seats each. Plus, there are five padded chairs at the bar. There is also a back room, entered from off the right end of the bar:
The main back room has two booths that can each comfortably seat four, plus three four-man tables:
The back room has a video screen, but it was not turned on during my visit.
There is also a separate, glass-walled private room at the very back of the back room. It can seat about ten persons:
The bar also has an outdoor, open-air balcony, where smoking sis permitted. It seats six, and is quite narrow:
The smoking balcony is located past the toilet area, which is down a passage way leading from the main room of the bar:
Customers may order food from the hotel restaurant, delivered to the bar.
Easy-listening pop music was playing, as subdued level.
The hotel does have parking.
The clientele appeared to be mostly businessmen.
The bar is advertised throughout the hotel, on video screens:
Khun Narong, the hotel’s Restaurant Manager, oversees the bar. The Food and Beverage Manager, from Switzerland, is Mr. Constant Wormser.
