19 Music Video Selections for 2019

Well – just like back in 2017 –  I still drink beer, and I still like to listen to music – all kinds of music. So – in order to again mix things up – I figured that I would for a second time do a blog post featuring a broad selection of music videos – selections that most visitors to this website may not find to be very familiar.

And – that is a good thing – expand your horizons!  I suspect that each visitor who takes the time to review the following 19 music videos will find at least one selection that they really like.  And – every visitor is welcome to add a comment that suggests a music video that you really enjoy – and would like to share.

19 Music Videos for 2019:  (Some links are auto-play, and some aren’t – ‘Sorry!)

Jessica Mauboy – Cover Song – “Tracks of My Tears” (Originally produced by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles)  – https://youtu.be/Fvttz7RWm3c   This is an annoying video, with a crappy Netflix ad often installed at the start.

The Classic Rock Show – Cover Song – “Since You Been Gone” (Originally produced by Rainbow)  –  https://youtu.be/sKW9kWAIdI0

Sia – Featuring Sean Paul –  “Cheap Thrills”  –  https://youtu.be/cCcdYVAMGI4

(Now – if you like the three dancers in red gowns, wearing straw coolie hats, they are called the Quick Crew Strawhatz Dance Crew – who grew up in Oslo, Norway.  See:   https://youtu.be/0cG3F0rq6N4?t=11  or  https://youtu.be/0KUnXpwmrqQ  and enjoy a craft beer, while watching!)

ONE TAKE COVER – Cover Song – “Girls Like You” (Originally produced by Maroon 5) – https://youtu.be/eLZckfMzBnU    –  This video is LITERALLY an exceptional “one take cover” – by Sejal Kumar, Illiyana, Antareep, Surya from India.   Phenomenal video production process.

Heimatdamisch – Cover Song -“Sweet Child of Mine” (Originally by Guns & Roses) – https://youtu.be/wbsEZzgCwmI  – If you like this German pub band, they also perform a cover of “Highway To Hell” (Originally produced by AC/DC) –  https://youtu.be/n_gtGfAail4  – which is a followup to an earlier version by the lady-singer, that she used to perform with the Sumawind biker group – see https://youtu.be/vca2mWRy9Us  Enjoy these versions with a German Weizenbier, or perhaps a Frau Grüber IPA!!!!

A guy named Dave Monk (playing two rolls, as a fake set of Twins) – Instrumental Cover Version Of  – “Save The Last Dance For Me” (Originally produced by The Drifters) – https://youtu.be/SOBid6lLOP   Now – if you’d like to enjoy a vocal performance of this same song, here’s Michael Bublé, performing live – https://youtu.be/qmi3EPUrw6g

The McCoys – Cover Song Modification of “My Girl Sloppy” (Originally by The Vibrations) to become hit song “Hang on Sloopy” in 1965 –   https://youtu.be/TlTKhPkZSJo   By the way, the girl dancing solo was Liz Brewer – who later became a wealthy professional – see https://lizbrewer.com/about/ (with  no credit for her Hang On Sloopy performance).

INNA (Romanian singer) – Singing her own original song “Crazy Sexy Wild” on a rooftop in Bucharest – https://youtu.be/A_AWSC3R1gw?t=24 All I can say is:  Wow!  What a beauty!

Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) – “Fortunate Son” – delivered with a Vietnam War air-mobile assault theme –   https://youtu.be/qV4Q-RSQCq0    I like this version based on my background as a former US Army Infantry Officer (for ten years, 1978-1988 – but ALL during peacetime).

Bob Seger, performing his own original song in 1969 – “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” – https://youtu.be/kKwXHDs1R6Y

Third Eye Blind, performing their own original song – “Never Let You Go”  – https://youtu.be/gl-JGJp-_CM

Eric Clapton – Performing an original song – “She’s Waiting” – https://youtu.be/Nac6AstFtV0

Agnes – Performing an original song – “I Need You Now” –  https://youtu.be/6HRYbzX4z5s  Another piece-of-crap  Netflix ad preceding the video – I just can’t get rid of it.  ‘Sorry

OK – that’s 19 different artists – with a few “elaboration” video’s attached.  I really like this playlist.   Twenty years ago (December 1999), I used to be a DJ at the Rooster Bar at the Soi Zero/Buckskin Joe’s Village complex at Ploenchit.  It was fun!    Happy New Year everybody!!!!
